Wyze Unveils Affordable Smart Scale with Advanced Body Composition Analysis

Wyze has introduced a new smart scale, the BodyScan, priced at $79. 98, offering a more affordable alternative to its Ultra BodyScan model. Although it lacks Wi-Fi connectivity, the scale can sync data with Apple Health and Google Fit via Bluetooth through the Wyze mobile app. The LED display, while simpler than the Ultra model's customizable LCD screen, still provides essential health statistics.

The BodyScan boasts a retractable handle with four electrodes, in addition to the four in the base, allowing for a detailed breakdown of body composition, including metrics such as muscle and fat distribution, body weight, BMI, and more. With eight electrodes in total, the scale can accurately track metrics for up to eight individuals and take one-off measurements for guests. The accompanying mobile app enables users to export PDF reports of their body composition, making it easy to share with healthcare professionals or fitness trainers. By sacrificing Wi-Fi and opting for a simpler display, Wyze has made advanced body composition analysis more accessible, with a price point under $80.
