Enterprise adoption of generative AI has shifted from cautious experimentation to strategic necessity. Among the models winning the most boardroom confidence is Anthropic's Claude, whose emphasis on safety and transparency has turned a once-niche feature into a competitive advantage. More than 300,000 businesses now use Claude, with eight of the ten largest Fortune companies as customers. Bristol-Myers Squibb deployed it to over 30,000 employees across research and clinical work.

Deloitte made it available to nearly 470,000 staff, while Cognizant equipped 350,000. These aren't pilots - they're production rollouts. A global partnership with Tata Consultancy Services, announced June 11, will see TCS create a dedicated business unit for Claude deployments, reaching over 50,000 internal users. Snowflake also deepened its integration, embedding Claude into Cortex AI for governed, enterprise-grade agents.

Yet Claude's latest model, Fable 5, drew developer criticism for aggressive safety guardrails. Still, enterprises seem unbothered. Ramp's AI Index shows Anthropic's business adoption climbing to 34. 4% in April 2026, overtaking OpenAI at 32.

3%. The company's annualized revenue hit $14 billion by February, with a valuation near $965 billion. A new small business offering targets the 44% of U. S.

GDP held by smaller firms. For now, Claude's combination of long context windows, agentic capabilities, and enterprise controls is winning over organizations that prioritize safety and scale in equal measure.
