The developer, 45Press, operates from Canfield, Ohio. The company's portfolio includes work for major brands and it holds a partnership with WordPress VIP. The firm's founder and CEO, Joel Kendall, presents a contrasting public persona outside of his government work.

On his personal social media, Kendall manages a venture named 'Sir Storia,' which he describes as a directory for historical and paranormal sites. Last year, he launched an online storefront selling merchandise centered on famous Ohio UFO incidents. In a since-removed post, he expressed an ambition for the shop to become a major retail destination for UFO and paranormal-themed goods.

This duality—between building a sanctioned White House communication tool and running a business dedicated to unexplained phenomena—highlights the diverse interests that can exist within the tech sector.
