MOSCOW, Feb 25 – Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko inspected a showcase of scientific prototypes at the Forum of Future Technologies in the Russian capital today. The event, now in its fourth year, highlights projects expected to shape key economic sectors. This year’s focus is bioeconomy.

Walking the exhibition floor, Chernyshenko described the displays as inspiring and impressive. “Many are already prototypes, and some are prepared to begin real-world operation,” he stated.

He singled out a project for a bio-eco settlement, developed by the Kurchatov Institute’s Center for Bioeconomy and Biotechnology. The Deputy Premier called it one of the exhibition’s most striking developments, noting its potential to make remote areas habitable by creating systems for essential production and life support.

Other exhibits included a bionic multi-grip forearm prosthesis and an osteointegration implant presented by Gazprombank. The Moscow Technopolis displayed a device that uses insect larvae to process plastic waste, an idea conceived by a ninth-grade student from the Skolkovo Gymnasium.

Chernyshenko expressed particular satisfaction with the strong presence of young researchers at the forum. The event, established in 2023, previously concentrated on future medicine in 2024 and new materials and chemistry in 2025.
