In a move to streamline the recruitment process for international students, Russia has compiled a list of approved recruitment agencies. The list, which includes 391 organizations, aims to provide educational institutions with a reliable source of information when evaluating potential partners. The approved agencies have been assessed based on criteria such as their legal status, experience, transparency, reputation, and security. According to Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Education and Science, the list is intended to serve as a resource for universities to assess potential risks when interacting with recruitment agencies.
The list will be distributed to all educational and scientific organizations and published on the ministry's website, with updates to be made annually. This initiative is part of the federal project 'Russia in the World' under the national project 'Youth and Children', which aims to promote international cooperation in education. Currently, over 422,000 international students from 182 countries are enrolled in Russian universities, highlighting the importance of establishing a reliable network of recruitment agencies. By providing this list, the Russian government hopes to enhance the quality and transparency of international student recruitment, ultimately benefiting both students and educational institutions.
