In a move set to significantly expand the analytical power of its technology, QT Imaging Holdings Inc. has entered a partnership with Olea Medical. Announced on January 27, 2026, the collaboration integrates Olea's advanced quantitative imaging tools into QT Imaging's cloud-based software platform. This integration will allow medical professionals to combine QT's radiation-free Breast Acoustic CT scans with other imaging methods like mammography, aiming for more precise assessments.

QT Imaging's scanner, which uses ultrasound to create detailed 3D images without radiation or compression, is particularly noted for imaging dense breast tissue. The new alliance adds Olea's capabilities for measurement, segmentation, and AI-ready processing directly into the workflow. Dr. Raluca Dinu, QT Imaging's CEO, stated the deal enhances clinical visualization and analysis.

The news follows a period of substantial growth for the company. In 2025, QT Imaging shipped 40 scanners, generating over $18 million in revenue. Its recent listing on the Nasdaq coincided with the partnership announcement. Olea Medical, a subsidiary of Canon Medical, brings decades of expertise in quantitative imaging for neurology and oncology to the table. Its founder and CEO, Dr. Faycal Djeridane, said the collaboration extends their tools into next-generation breast imaging.

For clinics, the combined platform promises a unified system to review different scan types, potentially streamlining diagnosis and reducing unnecessary procedures. The partnership arrives as demand for advanced breast imaging grows, driven in part by state laws requiring notification of dense breast tissue. With this deal, QT Imaging is shifting from a hardware focus to a broader platform strategy, betting that sophisticated software will drive the future of its radiation-free technology.
