Competition is heating up. Baseten and Wallaroo.AI chase similar orchestration, and OpenRouter draws buzz as a U.S. peer. But Eden AI leans into its European roots, with GDPR compliance built in and a base in Lyon. Over 200,000 developers have signed up, using the gateway for retail OCR, finance data anonymization, health document parsing, and social media content generation. With 21-23 employees and revenue flowing since early days, Zemmouri’s goal is “the definitive platform for building AI-powered applications at scale.” As models multiply past 500, the gateway approach is proving its worth. Fragmented APIs are becoming yesterday’s problem.
