A new survey from media holding Rambler&Co reveals that close to 50% of Russians are now willing to turn to AI assistants for advice and help explaining complex topics. The study, released July 14, shows a growing comfort with artificial intelligence in everyday life, with 40% of respondents saying they would use AI to get simple explanations on difficult subjects. Another 16% said they already rely on AI for learning, including language study and picking up new skills.
The research also highlights how AI is weaving into daily routines. Fourteen percent of those surveyed use AI for planning their day, making to-do lists, and setting reminders. Six percent said they turn to AI for shopping and household tasks, while another 6% use it to find evening entertainment, leisure activities, or travel ideas. An additional 18% see neural networks as a versatile tool that can handle a wide range of everyday scenarios.
Despite the enthusiasm, Russians remain grounded about AI's limits. Forty-four percent of respondents view smart assistants as a useful tool, but not a cure-all for every problem. Twenty-six percent expressed hope that people won't lose their ability to think independently. On a more positive note, 19% see AI primarily as a time-saver that reduces routine drudgery, while only 11% admitted they haven't found much practical value in it yet.
