Meta has unveiled Muse Image, its first image generation model from the new Meta Superintelligence Labs, now live inside Meta AI. Unlike standard AI tools, Muse Image acts as a creative partner that understands your personal context - turning simple ideas into polished visuals you can download or share directly to your feed, story, or chat. The model also powers over 30 new AI effects for Instagram Stories and image generation in WhatsApp direct messages, rolling out in select countries first.
Using everyday language, you can describe what you want, and Muse Image handles the rest. Need a mock-up of yourself at the Eiffel Tower? Want to erase an unwanted photobomber from a vacation shot? Or generate a clean, readable infographic? The model renders text legibly inside images, making it easy to create how-to guides or custom QR codes. A new presets panel offers one-tap inspiration - restore an old family photo, try trending hairstyles, or turn yourself into a claymation character. You can even snap a photo of your room and ask Meta AI to redesign it with real products from the web or Facebook Marketplace.
Behind the scenes, Muse Image works with Muse Spark to plan layouts, pull real-time web context, and blend multiple visual references. You can @-mention Instagram accounts to bring public profile photos into your creations, and you're in full control - toggle the feature off anytime. To make edits, tap the markup icon to circle, sketch, or annotate changes directly on the image. Meta AI remembers the full conversation, so you can keep refining without starting over. Muse Image is free for everyday use, with expanded access via subscription plans. Coming soon: availability on Facebook, Messenger, and more Instagram and WhatsApp surfaces, plus access for advertisers through Advantage+ creative. And with Muse Video in development, Meta is building toward personal superintelligence, one visual at a time.
