Shares of Marvell Technology surged 18% in Friday trading following a quarterly earnings report that surpassed expectations and a confident forecast fueled by sustained demand for its artificial intelligence products. The chipmaker reported adjusted earnings of 80 cents per share on revenue of $2.2 billion for its fourth quarter, beating analyst estimates.
On a call with analysts, CEO Matt Murphy underscored the company's bullish trajectory. "Examine the results we're guiding to. Look at our outlook for this year and the next," Murphy stated. "Do you see me blinking? You don't."
The guidance appears to back his conviction. For the current quarter, Marvell anticipates revenue of approximately $2.4 billion, well above Wall Street's projection. The company further expects its year-over-year revenue growth to accelerate through each quarter of 2027.
This optimism is rooted in a significant performance milestone: the company's data center revenue for fiscal 2026 exceeded $6 billion, marking a 46% increase from the prior year. The figures signal that Marvell's position in supplying the infrastructure for AI systems continues to strengthen, driving investor confidence in its near-term and long-term financial path.
