Luxury Meets Practicality: Amble Unveils Affordable Electric Vehicle

A new player has entered the electric mobility market, promising to bring stylish and affordable rides to consumers. Amble, a European company founded by alumni of Apple and Audi, has launched its first product, the Amble One, a street-legal electric buggy designed for short-range mobility. With a price tag of $25,000, the Amble One is positioned as a luxury vehicle for niche environments, such as coastal paths, private estates, and resort areas. The company's design lead, Julian Hoenig, who previously worked on the Apple car project, has brought a touch of Cupertino's design philosophy to the Amble One.

The vehicle boasts a range of over 60 miles, a top speed of 40 mph, and a five-hour charge time from a standard home socket. Weighing in at under 450 kilograms, the Amble One meets the European L7e vehicle category requirements, allowing it to drive on public roads without being classified as a car. According to Adrien Roose, CEO and cofounder, achieving this weight target was a significant challenge. The Amble One's open, doorless design is not just aesthetically pleasing, but also a key factor in meeting the weight requirement.

With its unique design and practical features, the Amble One is poised to carve out a new category in the electric vehicle market.
