San Francisco's Loop has raised $95 million in a Series C round to advance its AI-driven approach to supply chain management. The funding, led by Valor Equity Partners, signals strong investor confidence in moving beyond basic analytics to predictive and prescriptive solutions.

Co-founders Matt McKinney and Shaosu Liu, former Uber colleagues, compare traditional supply chain tools to an annual medical checkup: it identifies problems but doesn't prescribe a cure. Loop's system aims to be the equivalent of a full-time health coach. It structures messy, unstructured data from PDFs, messages, and paper documents, using a combination of proprietary and frontier AI models to automate tasks and uncover inefficiencies.

The capital will primarily fund engineering hires, a strategic move in a competitive talent market. The investment arrives as global supply volatility pushes companies to seek technological resilience. Loop operates in a growing field that includes newer entrants like Amari AI and established players like Uber Freight, an early investor of which, Flexport's Ryan Petersen, also backed Loop.

Antonio Gracias of Valor, a notable backer of xAI, stated that Loop has turned fragmented data into operational intelligence, building a foundation to become "the intelligence layer of the entire supply chain." Liu views Valor's involvement as validation of Loop's technical defensibility.

McKinney notes that the underlying AI technology matured years ahead of their initial 2030 estimate. This acceleration, he argues, allows Loop to help clients compound their advantage. "The companies that really lean in now," McKinney said, "are the ones you'll see leading in the next decade."
