We're increasing our stake in FedEx Freight, purchasing 100 shares at approximately $147. 03, bringing our total holdings to 250 shares. This move boosts the stock's weight in our portfolio to nearly 1% from 0. 55%.

The decision comes on the heels of a 7% stock price decline following the company's earnings report, which, despite solid figures, was marred by confusion and a lack of traditional financial statements. As a newly public entity, FedEx Freight's financials are still being recast, and the change in its fiscal calendar has made it challenging to compare guidance with historical performance and Wall Street expectations. Historically, when earnings reports are unclear, investors tend to sell first and ask questions later, as seen with FedEx Corporation's stock earlier in the week. However, we believe that if FedEx Freight's management can deliver on its margin expansion goals and the trucking cycle continues to recover, the current sell-off may prove to be an overreaction.

It's not uncommon for newly spun-out companies to take a few months to find their footing as the shareholder base evolves and selling pressure subsides. With a long-term perspective, we're optimistic about FedEx Freight's potential for growth, and we're taking advantage of the current dip to increase our holdings.
