A new report from streaming service Deezer provides a stark measure of artificial intelligence's march into creative fields. The company now processes approximately 75,000 AI-generated song uploads daily, a figure representing 44% of all new tracks added to its platform each day. Over a month, that translates to roughly 2 million songs flagged as AI-created.
The scale has expanded rapidly. Earlier in 2025, after launching its patent-pending detection system, Deezer reported about 20,000 daily AI uploads, or 18% of the total. For the full year, the platform identified over 13.4 million tracks as AI-generated.
However, listener behavior tells a different story. Deezer notes that only 1% to 3% of total streams involve this AI-created content, with the majority of those plays identified as fraudulent and subsequently demonetized. The company's detection tool specifically targets outputs from prominent AI music generators Suno and Udio.
The industry's response remains mixed. While some major labels have entered partnerships with these AI startups, platforms are actively deploying countermeasures. Deezer and others, like Coda Music, are using verification tools and listener reporting systems to manage the influx, indicating a sector grappling with volume control rather than outright prohibition.
