Anthropic and AI infrastructure provider Nscale may be preparing to announce another $45 billion compute agreement, according to Bloomberg, which cites people familiar with the matter. The reported talks come just over a month after the two companies unveiled a $45 billion compute deal.

The sources cautioned that negotiations are still ongoing and that the terms could change. If completed, the arrangement would add to a series of large compute deals Anthropic has signed over the past year.

Heavy spending on AI compute has unsettled some investors, who question whether the outlays will translate into sufficient profit. Anthropic has continued forming such partnerships nonetheless.

Both companies are also pursuing IPOs. Anthropic is still expected to go public this year, while Nscale is seeking a listing as well, though Bloomberg reported that it has faced investor pushback over its proposed $30 billion valuation.
