In a significant move, Agility Robotics, a pioneer in humanoid robotics, is set to become a publicly traded company through a merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI. The deal values Agility Robotics at approximately $2. 5 billion and is expected to generate over $620 million in proceeds. This includes a $200 million investment from a group of new and existing institutional investors.

Agility Robotics has gained recognition for its bipedal robot, Digit, which is currently in use at nine customer sites, including notable companies such as Schaeffler, GXO, and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada. With backing from prominent tech companies like Amazon, Nvidia, and SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Agility Robotics is poised for further growth. The funds raised from the merger will be used to increase production of the next-generation Digit v5, fulfill existing orders, and expand its customer base. The company has already secured over $300 million in multi-year orders for the new model and has a pipeline of more than 30 potential customers exploring large-scale deployments.

According to Agility CEO Peggy Johnson, humanoid robots are on the cusp of revolutionizing productivity, supply chain resilience, and American technology leadership. With its commercially deployed humanoids, Agility is helping enterprises address labor shortages, improve efficiency, and integrate AI-powered automation safely. The combined company will trade under the ticker symbol AGLT on a North American stock exchange, which is yet to be announced.
